TEXTILE MUSEUM
The design intent for the textile museum was to have a core of the structure which expands and opens up to the public in the exterior. The idea of core came by Considering the Textile exhibit which needs protection from natural light and dust.
Concrete for the core ,steel being the expansion and glass which will bring enclosure
and transparency in the exterior was the material palette that i am going to work with.
The attempt was to create a sense of intrigue while moving towards the core of museum which will create curiosity among the visitors several times.
Working on grids
The process of implementing the design intent with the help of a grid system was learnt in this milestone. The addition of the grid pattern helped a lot in resolving the structure.
Resolving the Assemblies
The process of resolving the assemblies with the help of construction detail drawings was explored in this milestone. The addition of the meticulous construction details helped a lot in resolving the bigger drawings.
The Final Drawings
All the above steps were found to be crucial to reach to these drawings. Here, you can see the final set of drawings.
